Students Get Creative at Mathematics Fair
Description
"One hundred-sixty projects were submitted that covered a wide-range of math topics, such as Platonic Solids, The Golden Ratio, Cryptology, Topology, Pascal's Triangle, and Probability. Twelve projects from the high school and five from the middle school were selected by mathematician judges from Boston University, Harvard University, WPI, University of Massachusetts Lowell, MIT and the Arlington Public Schools to be displayed at the Museum of Science June 10 with projects from the other Focus on Mathematic partner districts. The students and their families were honored at a reception in the museum's pavilion on the Charles River, which, despite the rain, was well attended."
